Creativity at Plymouth Grove

We all love getting crafty and after being asked by one of my class where I get all the fab links to making things from I thought i’d share them with you, if you have any good websites or books that you use at home to be creative then share them here!

For all of you filmclub members i’ve added a new page (just look to the right of the screen) which will be uploaded with a trailer or links to a trailer for the next film we’ll be watching

It’s no secret that I love all aspects of art and design and I’m really passionate about it’s benefits.

Whether you think you’re good at art or not all of us can create something amazing with a little bit of encouragement

Here are some examples of work going on in our school, some of it was created in an art lesson, some of it during other lessons like history or literacy. Art is a great way of enhancing any curriculum subject!

The applications for the filmclub were excellent, infact very very persuasive and hard to chose from! If you haven’t been picked this time then i’m sorry but competition was tough and don’t forget we also took into consideration attendence levels at school, behaviour and attitude.

Pixar Shorts DVD Trailer

Any of you who want to join filmclub have only one more day to get your short piece of writing in! The first few films have come through the post and are sitting ready to be watched! Once all the pieces of writing are in they will be read and the list will go up on here on Monday if not earlier so keep checking! Members of filmclub will be announced also in assembly and then you’ll be given your filmclub letter which needs to be read and signed by your parents or carers.

The snow is such a beautiful thing, why not take the opportunity of school being closed to do some art!

Making snow sculptures,  patterns, snow angels is all good fun and very creative. How about painting what you see, take some photographs or create a song based on the white stuff

Our production of the Nativity story is nearly ready! Parents you can catch the play on Tuesday morning with Key Stage 1 and year 3&4, Year 5&6  you can see it Monday. The children have worked so hard and i’m very proud of what they’ve had to do in a very short amount of time.

Hey all, we’re a creative bunch here at Plymouth Grove and there’s always something wonderful going on. This blog is here to celebrate all that’s artistic, so if there’s something happening in music, dance, dance or art and design it’ll be posted on this page.
